Applying to the Horizon Contemporary Prize is done through a simple and fast online form.
Each step is clearly explained so you can prepare and submit your application with confidence.

The form will ask for a few details about you, then you will upload your portfolio, which must include:

• A short introduction to your artistic or creative practice (intentions, universe, materials, references, etc.)

• An overview of your work (a selection of relevant images across 1 to 3 slides/pages)

• A selection of 4 to 10 artworks or objects you wish to submit to the Horizon Contemporary Prize, within your chosen category, for potential exhibition and sale at Envie Gallery in South Africa

For each artwork or object, please include:

• Title

• Medium / materials

• Dimensions

• Approximate weight

• Year of creation

• Suggested retail price, including the gallery’s 50% commission

If relevant, you may also include links to your website or social media.
